2011 McLaren MP4-12C GT3

McLaren-MP4-12C-GT3-Front-2011McLaren today confirmed his plans to bring back the name of McLaren for the GT sports car racing. From 2012, McLaren Racing and CRS will provide and support a number of GT3 racing car based on the car McLaren MP4-12C high-performance sport for Europe-based privateers.

2011-McLaren-MP4-12C-GT3-Back15 years since the famous McLaren F1 GTR won the famous 24 Heures du Mans in the world (Le Mans) on debut, and 12 years since six 'Longtails' last raced at Le Mans, and CRS McLaren Racing, a successful and experienced English-racing team based, began working development aimed at changing the way cars 12C to-win sports car racing GT3. As part of program development, and CRS McLaren Racing will compete in a number of European GT races in 2011.

We have a legendary history in global motorsport, including GT racing, and we aim to maintain that reputation with this GT3 programme, and any future sports car projects that may evolve.

2011-McLaren-MP4-12C-GT3-DashboardCRS Racing will build, sell and support the GT3 cars 12C in close collaboration with McLaren. Leicestershire-based racing team has a strong pedigree in GT racing in Le Mans Series, FIA GT Championship, the International GT Open and the British GT Championship. CRS also run two successful single-seater team: in Formula Renault UK Championship and as Atech CRS in Series GP3.
